St Clement and St James

St Clement Notting Dale and St James Norlands are two inclusive churches in one parish. We welcome everyone – regardless of age, gender, background or sexuality. The parish is fantastically diverse, with pockets of great wealth within a wider picture of deprivation.

Our sister charity – The ClementJames Centre – offers an ambitious range of educational, literacy and work programmes. Our church school was recently judged Good by Ofsted. We are proud to be associated with both organisations.

The congregations are relaxed and child-friendly, and we provide Sunday schools. Services are participatory and prayerful. The Eucharist is celebrated with reverence and conviction.

Enriched by the annual cycle of seasons and festivals, the liturgy is sacramental but not stuffy.

Many feel renewed by their experience of these sacred spaces. We invite you to join us.

St Clement

First Sunday of the month All Age Mass (not in August).

Weekday

The Eucharist is celebrated at St James on Wednesday at 10.30 am.

Morning Prayer is said at St James from Monday to Thursday at 8.15 am. Resumes on 7 August.

St James is open during the day from Monday to Thursday from 8.00 am until early evening. Closed from Boxing Day to 3 January. Resumes on 7 August.

St Clement

We come together as one parish for a glorious service at St Clement, in which we celebrate the achievements of the young people through the Carnival project, before sharing lunch and heading off with Panectar Steel Band and a double-decker bus. No 9.45 am Parish Eucharist at St James on this day, although there will be 8.00 am Holy Communion. Note the starting time at St Clement!
