Who we are
Alan enjoys reading and film, and he paints. An exhibition of his paintings was shown at St Stephen Walbrook earlier this year. (Here is a more detailed description). He is married to Julie and has two teenage daughters, Emily and Charlotte, who keep him young(ish). Before moving to the parish in November 2010, he was a vicar in South Hackney for nearly 17 years.
Mary was licensed to the Parish in 2009. Previously, she has worked in school and college chaplaincies, as well as in parishes in Northampton and Coventry. She is married to Andrew and they have two sons, Samuel and Jacob. She enjoys cooking, reading commentaries about the gospels and sleeping under canvas in the summer holidays. She works for the parish on a part time basis.
Associate Vicar SSM
Robert enjoys the theatre, opera, art and politics. He is the Lead Chaplain at the Royal Brompton Hospital and a local councillor. He works part-time focussing on adult education. He tries and fails to keep fit and watches trashy television to end the day.
Assistant Curate SSM
As a young girl in Uganda, Margaret sang in the church choir and also went mountaineering and climbed Mt Elgon. She lived in Germany for six years before moving to the UK in 1987. She has been a school teacher for many years, and enjoys working with children. Margaret enjoys power walking but she is afraid of the dark and creepy crawlies.
